**Assistant Warehouse Manager - Job Description**
**Reports to: Director of Operations**

**SUMMARY**

The Assistant Warehouse Manager will oversee picking, storage, receiving, dispatching, security, maintenance, sanitation, and some administrative functions. The person will oversee, train, and evaluate staff.

To ensure success you need to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and perform your duties in a manner that maximizes efficiency and profit. Top applicants are dedicated, competent, and have strong leadership skills.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Supervise warehouse staff and daily activities, including inventory control, space management, floor productivity, receiving, shipping, and customer service
- Work with management team to observe disciplinary issues, attendance, and performance of all warehouse employees
- Lead onboarding and employee training with appropriate 30, 60, and 90 day reviews
- Assist workers by offering personal growth opportunities through annual staff performance reviews
- Maintain communication between employees and management to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood and followed
- Meet regularly with warehouse leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention
- Define staffing needs and allocate daily workload as required
- Implement and oversee security and food safety operations
- Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and coordinate general maintenance as needed
- Ensure effective and safe use of warehouse equipment
- Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet operational goals, manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
- Ensure a well-coordinated reception of all materials, items, and products, and making sure they are sorted, labelled, and stored per company standards and policies
- Maintain documentation and keep accurate records of warehouse activities, passing on information in an accurate and timely manner
- Other duties as required

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Three plus years of warehouse supervisor, manager or similar role
- Excellent understanding of warehouse procedures
- Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls
- Valid drivers' license
- Ability to operate forklift effectively
- Proficient computer skills
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong people skills
- Available to work extended and flexible hours if required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $56,000.00-$66,000.00 per year
