**Pay Rate**: $60,533 - $123,296
**Hydrogeologist**
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform hydrogeological investigations, soil/rock site characterizations, and groundwater resource analyses related to underground projects.
- Specialty areas include planning and implementation of groundwater investigations; interpretation of the impacts of construction work on the groundwater regime (including groundwater depletion and contaminated groundwater movement); prediction of inflow magnitudes at various phases of construction work; and prediction of the effects of mitigation measures such as ground support, dewatering, and various groundwater control techniques.
- Assist in the design and conduct filed investigations including drilling, well installation, and aquifer testing.
- Analyze and interpret hydrogeological data for groundwater system conceptualization.
- Perform quantitative analyses and modeling of groundwater systems using standard analytical techniques, and commercial numerical programs.
- Work on a variety of office and field assignments, with a focus on hydrogeological and geotechnical engineering analyses, development of drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical memoranda that present the basis of design.
- Prepare written technical reports, project correspondence, field activity reports, data reports, and work plans for internal and client review.
- Support business development and marketing activities, including preparation of cost proposals and presentations to existing and prospective clients.
**Qualifications**:
- BS degree in Geology or Hydrogeology, MS degree preferred.
- 2 to 6 years of experience in hydrogeology.
- Strong understanding of hydrogeological principles, field data collection, and numerical modeling techniques.
- Proficiency in groundwater modeling software (e.g., MODFLOW, FEFLOW) and coding languages (e.g., Python).
- Proficiency in GIS for spatial analysis and visualization.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
