Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House’s Infant-Toddler Program at the Village is looking for a caring, passionate and flexible individual to join our dynamic childcare team as an Infant-Toddler Early Childhood Educator. This position is permanent and offers benefits and professional training opportunities.

**Responsibilities**:
The Infant-Toddler Early Childhood Educator will be responsible for the provision of quality care and education for the children in our Infant-Toddler Program at the Village, located in Lord Nelson Elementary School. The individual will guide and work with the team members throughout the daily operations to ensure children are provided with proper care and activities that reflect our Reggio Emilia philosophy. The individual will also participate in the documentation, the programming and the classroom environment creation to support children’s holistic development and well-being based on the BC Early Learning Framework and Reggio Emilia approach.

Other responsibilities include developing strong communication and relationships with children, families and colleagues. The Infant-Toddler Early Childhood Educator is expected to work closely with other educators, Team Leads, and the Early Years and School Age Coordinators in creating a positive community environment for children, families and staff. The position is expected to work between the Infant and Toddler programs, with a possibility of assisting other Frog Hollow Early Years programs when needed.

$4.00 WE will be added to the hourly rate.

**Qualifications Required**:

- A valid Infant-Toddler Early Childhood Education Certificate
- A valid First Aid/CPR
- Experience working with special needs children is an asset
- Knowledge of the Early Learning Framework (BC) and Reggio Emilia Approach preferred
- Willingness to provide an emergent program based on the principles of the Reggio Emilia Approach
- Strength in building and maintain supportive and collaborative partnerships with families
- An eagerness to work as part of a collaborative, supportive, and dynamic team in a non-profit and volunteer-based organization. This includes working with all other Village Team Leader, Village Coordinators, and all other Frog Hollow Childcare Team Leads.

Benefits include 3 week's vacation for first year, sick time and 50% of extended health and dental and a company pension plan.
