The Business Programs section of Service Nova Scotia and Internal Services is responsible for program and registry management of the Nova Scotia Business Registry, the Personal Property Registry, the Lobbyist Registry and the Registry of Joint Stock Companies (RJSC).

**About Our Opportunity**:
As the Product Support Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting and assisting with the development, coordination, interpretation, and administration of processes and/or activities that have an impact on the Business Programs team and systems used to support the assigned registries. You will assist in the delivery and administration of the systems used to support the assigned registries for new and existing program and support the Business Programs team with the implementation of new initiatives and system changes as well as respond to inquiries and assist in the investigation and resolution of complaints.

**Primary Accountabilities**:

- Delivering required outcomes by working with the Product Lead and team members to support system users, program requirements as well as legislative and system changes.
- Responding to requests for assistance from RJSC system users including internal staff members, law firms and other stakeholder groups. Requests for assistance include the production and delivery of reports, user access, problem resolution, system errors, change requests and general user support.
- Advising and mediating complaints related to the system, identifying needs and responds to questions and concerns from system users.
- Assisting senior colleague(s) to manage internal and external client, vendor relationships by using client systems and other established processes, procedures, and protocols.
- Assisting in improving business programs processes to support effective program delivery and implementation.
- Managing priorities and working effectively to reach expected service standards
- Providing technical guidance when required, analyzing data from registry sources to draw appropriate conclusions and make suitable recommendations. This will include responsibility for user acceptance testing, development and monitoring of reports, and enforcement activities.
- May also involve assisting in documenting communication, leading workshops, and performing other related duties as required.

**About You**:
To be successful in this position, you hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, in addition to 1 year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. You are a team player who demonstrates initiative, exercises good judgment, has above average organizational skills, and has the ability to work with diverse groups. In addition to this, you have excellent communication (both verbal and written), and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders in a manner that strengthens and builds collaborative relationships.

You also possess:

- Effective facilitation skills and have experience delivering training or information sessions;
- The ability to effectively manage and prioritize high volume work;
- Proficiency with Microsoft office including excel, word and outlook;

The following would be viewed as assets:

- Experience working in a project environment and assisting in implementing new initiatives;
- Knowledge of Registry of Joint Stocks legislation, policies and procedures and of the computer systems associated with the delivery of the RJSC program.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience creating reports; working with Tableau

We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.
