Assistant Grocery Manager

The Assistant Grocery Manager supervises and coordinates the operations activities of the grocery department. This position collaborates with the Grocery Manager to predict, analyze, and access the buying/shopping patterns of Urban Grocer. This position provides leadership to the team, achieving the objectives for sales, margin, and turns.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide superior customer service
- Maintain grocery retail and receiving bay areas in clean, orderly condition
- Remain highly productive at all times and negotiate workload with supervisor to meet priorities
- Training new staff members
- Participate in inventory
- Participate in re-setting department shelves and cross-merchandising
- Accountability
- Reliable
- Assist with grocery ordering
- Set pricing to meet margin goals, mark-down items as needed
- Rotate and face department

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
