Maintenance Technician

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Technicians are responsible for emergency, routine, and preventative maintenance. The Maintenance Technicians ensure that all machines, equipment, and facilities are operational and functioning safely. As a respected leader, you understand the work to be done and coordinate your activities accordingly.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:
- Available to work a rotation schedule with call-ins to support a 24/7 operation
- Mechanically inclined
- Possess strong organization and communication skills
- Problem Solving
- Ability to work independently with autonomy
**Job Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Preventative maintenance tasks to minimize unexpected issues with equipment.
- Plan and perform maintenance activities during periods of production down time.
- Service and maintain equipment including motors, mixers, conveyors, and other production related equipment.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment.
- Administrative tasks including maintaining maintenance logs.
- Maintain the spare parts inventory.
- Coordinate additional trades for planned and emergency work.
- Escalate any equipment or facility concerns to management.
**Position Requirements**:
- Ability to climb and descend set of 15 stairs when required.
- Ability to lift up to 20kg when required.
- Ability to bend and kneel on a regular basis.
- Be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred (2 years)
- Previous experience in a maintenance role is required (2 years)
- Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, Electrician, or other trade an asset
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
