TITLE - ASSISTANT FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER

STATUS - FULL TIME / PART TIME

REPORTS TO - Director of Food & Beverage.

DESCRIPTION:

- Responsible for overseeing all Food & Beverage activities within Restaurant NINE18 & Turnberry Golf Course when the Director of Food and Beverage and/or the Events & Restaurant Manager are not on site, while ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service.
- Work with the Director of Food and Beverage, Executive Chef, and the Events & Restaurant Manager to ensure the highest guest service and food quality standards.
- Oversee daily F&B operation of Restaurant NINE18 & Turnberry golf course. This includes daily administration & accounting duties.
- Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings communicating pertinent information to the staff.
- Schedule and direct staff in their work assignments.
- Ensure excellent customer service by means of attention to detail.
- Interact positively with guests and resolve any problems to the satisfaction of all involved parties.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of food and beverage etiquette.
- Ability to train staff, run service and be creative.
- Supervise and review production and quality of all food and beverage products to ensure consistent, superior food & beverage quality.
- Maintain cost controls for all Food & Beverage purchases and maintain operation profitability.
- Ability to establish and maintain proper inventories.
- Attendance and participation in weekly management and departmental meetings.
- Liaison with our event coordinator, assisting with booking & service of banquets, to ensure maximum profitability.
- Assist with social media marketing.
- Communicate goals and objectives and inspire employees to obtain these goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- University Degree or College Diploma preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in supervisory role.
- Experience at properties of similar size and quality.
- Thorough knowledge of Food and Beverage control systems, Front of house systems, as well as the ability to work well under pressure & stress with a positive attitude.
- Availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays a must.

- Ability to develop creative/innovative menus and events.
- Instill a guest service attitude in all employees.
- Knowledge of JONAS software ideal.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

**Salary**: $20.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
