The Official Languages Analyst supports the development and implementation of official languages improvements in company operations. The position's responsibilities include cross-functional engagement throughout the company and also with various external stakeholders. The analyst is responsible for gathering key information required for Air Canada's Official Languages reporting and maturity. In doing so, he/she will contribute to the strategy and good reputation of Air Canada.

**The Position**
- Monitor Official Languages issues throughout the year and contribute to reporting of performance in the corporate reports. Identify trends in official languages performance.
- Work with the various business groups to refine and obtain, on a regular basis, analytics required to assess Air Canada's Official Languages maturity.
Compile and report on data from internal audit and language preference reports.
- Project management including tracking the time/task planning, progress against plan, and coordinate meetings/project logistics.
- Perform initial assessment of inquiries from the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages and provide input to Linguistic Solutions team.
- Assess official languages inquiries made by Air Canada customers, and provide appropriate guidance to Customer Care.
- Liaising with internal clients to prepare filings with governmental authorities in Canada and abroad and coordinating the flow of required documents.
- Help with the drafting and review of internal correspondence and assist with hearing documents (witness statements, written arguments, briefs, etc.) and coordinate comments and sign-offs on these documents from various Air Canada branches.
- Prepare presentations and related documentation for internal training.
- Day to day management of Official Languages matters, including coordinating with external advisors and stakeholders. Liaise with other communication professionals to ensure accuracy in Air Canada's continuous disclosure.
- Preparing and presenting status reports, on an ad hoc basis.

**Qualifications**
- University business, political science or other related field.
- Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following fields is an asset: business, management, risk management, legal, corporate reporting, governance.
- Experience in planning and forecasting.
- Knowledgeable and conversant with reporting and analysis tools.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to handle pressure and competing demands.
- Excellent communication skills in English and French.
