About the position:
- The Brant County Health Unit is seeking an experienced experience Executive Assistant to support our Chief Executive Officer.

Key Responsibilities: *
- Coordinates the preparation of Board of Health reports, communications, operational plans, and special projects as required.
- Managing and prioritizing inbox, calendar management and coordinating internal and external meetings.
- Managing correspondence, preparing meeting materials, agendas, presentations, various reports, proofreading and editing documents, and handling confidential information.
- Attend meetings and record minutes.
- Provides administrative support including filing, copying, mailing, report generation, and ad hoc tasks.
- Provides issues management ensuring that correspondence, messages, and other communications get to the appropriate staff for response and ensures the Director is aware of inquiries/issues and ongoing status.
- Provides back-up administrative support to the Medical Officer of Health and other Directors as needed.

Qualifications and Competencies: *
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an executive assistant role.
- Experience with calendar management, administrative processes, coordinating meetings and reports, event planning and project coordination is required.
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize multiple/competing tasks, coordinate committees and liaise with various internal and external partners using judgment and tact.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, the ability to work with mínimal guidance, and handle confidential and politically sensitive information related to personnel, programs, and projects, is essential.
- Strong writing skills and ability to draft correspondence that is clear, concise and grammatically correct.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, customer service skills, professional and mature attitude.
- Self-starter demonstrating initiative and ability to work independently and take appropriate action.
- Advanced computer skills, including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are required.
- Provincial reporting processes and procedures and previous experience in Public Health or Health Care environment are assets.
- Flexibility to work outside business hours as required.
- Proven good attendance record with capability of maintaining the same standard.
- Demonstrated commitment to championing Brant County Health Unit’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Possess a valid Ontario Driver’s License and use of a reliable vehicle with valid insurance
- Required to have full COVID-19 immunization and are able to provide evidence of status
Salary range: $ 62,198.07 - $ 75,962.15 - OMERS pension and a comprehensive Health and Dental benefits package.
