**This is what else you can expect from this dynamic role**:

- Supports onboarding, training, and mentorship of Professional Practice Specialists.
- Reviews and assigns Professional Practice intake files across Professional Practice team.
- Supports the lead Professional Practice Specialist on complex files (ex. mediation, IACs etc.).
- Assists with and determines caseload priorities.
- Schedules file reviews and updates with Professional Practice Specialists
- Identifies and reviews changes to workload processes, as required.
- Provides assistance when there are issues of capacity/workload and provides guidance where Bargaining Units have complex professional practice issues in a health-care environment.
- Accountable for reviewing and editing Minute of Settlement, Items in Agreement, Submissions, Decision Summaries, IAC briefs, CNO meeting minutes etc.
- Develops and submits practice matters communication.
- Provides written reports to Management on areas of activity, as required.
- Supports qualitative and quantitative goals of Provincial Services team.
- Supports ONA’s strategic plan related to professional practice as directed by Manager, Professional Practice
- Accountable for participating in the development of educational opportunities within the organization including presentations to staff and the development of other Professional Practice support resources.
- Act as a resource to the individuals on the Regional Service Teams holding responsibility for professional practice.

**What we are looking for**
- A Registered Nurse (RN) designation is required with a minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience.
- Five (5) to ten (10) years of labour relations and professional practice experience such as writing briefs, government submissions, leading Independent Assessment Committees (IAC), and a strong understanding of the professional practice responsibility workload process and accountabilities.
- Labour Relations or Industrial Relations Certificate is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring and leadership.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to manage a caseload and work efficiently.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills including familiarity with conflict resolution approaches.
- Bilingualism (written and verbal French) is an asset.

A flexible schedule could be required for some evening/weekend work related to meeting deadlines such as IAC’s, government submissions etc.
