We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Technical Sales Representative in Microbiology to join our dynamic sales team at InnScience. As a Technical Sales Representative in Microbiology, you will play a crucial role in promoting and selling our extensive portfolio of high-quality laboratory instruments and cell culture media to customers in your assigned territory. Your primary focus will be on building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and understanding customer needs.

**Job Overview**

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Technical Sales Representative in Microbiology to join our dynamic sales team at InnScience. As a Technical Sales Representative in Microbiology, you will play a crucial role in promoting and selling our extensive portfolio of high-quality laboratory instruments and cell culture media to customers in your assigned territory. Your primary focus will be on building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and understanding customer needs.

**Your challenges for this position will be**: Understanding Customer Needs, Competitive Market, Sale Target, Building Relationships, Balancing Technical and Sale Communications, Managing Objections, Travel and Time Management and Balancing Sales and Business development. By successfully navigating these challenges, your technical expertise combined with strong sales acumen will enable you to drive revenue growth and contribute to the continued success of InnScience.

**Core Responsibilities**
- Develop market and execute sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Conduct product demonstrations and deliver compelling presentations to showcase the value proposition of our solutions.
- Understand customers’ needs and provide customized solutions by effectively positioning our products/services.
- Collaborate with the sales team, engineers, and other managers to deliver comprehensive customer proposals and quotations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for cross-selling.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to contribute to the development of marketing materials, product positioning, and sales collateral.
- Maintain accurate sales records, including customer information, sales activities, and pipelines, using our CRM system.

**Deliverables**
- Sales Target: Meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Customer Acquisition: Acquiring new customers.
- Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining a strong customer relationship.
- Sales Proposal and Quotations: Developing and presenting comprehensive sales proposals and quotations.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Need to provide accurate sales forecasting and regular reports.
- Collaboration with Internal Team: Collaborate with scientists, engineers, marketing, and customer support.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Life Sciences) or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record of success in technical sales, preferably in the fields of laboratory and instruments or scientific equipment.
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly understand and articulate complex scientific concepts and analytical techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively engage with customers at all levels.
- Strong sales acumen, negotiation skills, and ability to close deals effectively.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory to meet with customers and attends industry events (approximately 50% travel).
- Familiarity with CRM software and proficiency in using sales analytics tools.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Have the authorization to work in Canada.
