**Communications & Partnership Coordinator**

Heartwood Healing Centre facilitates the healing journey of people who have experienced childhood sexual abuse and increase society’s understanding of this form of trauma. We do this by providing therapeutic services, strengthening support systems, exchanging knowledge, and raising awareness.

**Salary**: $50,000

**Term**: Full-Time (35-hour work week); 1 year term
- **Main Responsibilities**:_
- Develop External and Internal Communication Plans for Heartwood Healing Centre in consultation with the Leadership Team
- Take a lead role in implementing the activities identified in the plans including but not limited to: o Creating, sourcing, and posting/distributing engaging content on Heartwood’s social media, website, and monthly e-newsletter. o Networking and developing new relationships with community organizations, groups, and businesses. o Gathering feedback from various stakeholders to inform the next 3-year strategic plan.
- Assist with fundraising events, donor relations, and other aspects of Heartwood’s Fund Development Plan, as they relate to communications and community engagement.
- Support the implementation of Heartwood’s Anti-Oppressive Practice Action Plan.
- **Qualifications**:_
- Undergraduate Degree, Diploma, Certificate, or experience in a related field.
- Proven experience developing and/or implementing a communication strategy.
- Proven ability to network, establish relationships, and develop partnerships with diverse groups.
- Demonstrated ability to work within and advocate for an Anti-Oppressive Practice approach.
- Exceptional communication (oral and written), content development, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
- Working knowledge of the individual and societal impacts of Childhood Sexual Abuse.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Work, Excel, Outlook), graphic design software (Canva), and content/mail management systems (WordPress, Constant Contact).
- Working knowledge of social media and online communication tools.
