Branch Manager

Overview:
**Duties**:
- Recruit, hire, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel and discipline a team of sales persons, field services and agents.
- Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions and certifications.
- Plan, implement and enforce branch policies and procedures.
- Enforce company policies
- Plan, schedule and manage day-to-day employee activities in an efficient and effective manner.
- Assist, implement, review and enforce monument design best practices under the guidance of the Design Director.
- Assist with or perform administrative tasks including but not limited to daily reporting requirements, manual invoice generation, work and sales order processing, inventory and supply management, accounts payables and receivables.
- Achieve sales, services and marketing operational objectives by contributing plans and reviews. Prepare and complete action plans to achieve strategic goals.
- Implement productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends; determine system improvements and implement changes.
- Identify, implement and enforce branch equipment preventative maintenance best practices.
- Accomplish marketing objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising strategies, opportunities and marketing materials.
- Identify marketing opportunities by identifying consumer and market requirements; competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses.
- Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; assist with annual budget preparations; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions.
- Provide pricing for custom or odd sized monuments or projects.
- Assess and provide costs for restoration jobs or projects.
- Manage, sustain and develop rapport with sales agents, cemetery personnel, caretakers and funeral homes.
- Anticipate new opportunities.
- Manage, sustain and protect our company’s values, image and brand as being the best in the industry.
- Create and report back sales, service, marketing performance and results to the direct reporting manager and to the Campbell Monument Board of Directors
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills Requirement
- Valid Ontario G license, or equivalent province of issue license, with a clean driving record
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal staff and external customers
- French verbal and written skills would be an asset.
- Strong business sense.
- Quick thinker with the ability to adjust tasks and schedules based on shifting priorities
- Knowledge of the monument or funeral industry would be an asset.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Demonstrated supervisory, motivational and leadership experience.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to a successful completion.
- At a minimum a high school diploma is required. However, a college diploma, university degree is desired. Equivalent work experience will be considered.

Pay: $39,429.12-$50,000.00 per year
