**A Day in the Life **
The Manager, Health & Clinical Operations is responsible for the overall management, supervision, direction, leadership, coordination, and operational effectiveness of a multidisciplinary medical clinic, athletic therapy centre, health promotion services and counselling services, staffed by practitioners including physicians, nurses, counsellors, physical therapists, health promoters and administrative personnel.

**As the Manager, Health & Clinical Operations, you will**:

- Oversee and manage day to day operations of the student health clinics, health promotion, sports medicine clinic and personal counselling;
- Collaborate closely with staff to ensure seamless service from operations to face-to face interactions;
- Ensure all clinical and personal counselling programs are compliance with applicable government regulations and privacy protocols;
- Oversee day to day financial transactions processes within clinic operations in collaboration with the Financial Accounting Officer;
- Manage the operation budget forecasting and variances, and prepare budget reporting;
- Build a strong network and consult with University partners and the broader community on various health promotion and awareness initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities of the clinics, health promotion and personal counselling;
- Act as lead for patient (student) relations, facilitating resolution of issues and identifies opportunities for improvement;
- Set benchmarking standards focused on health and safety standards, timeliness to accessing services, treatment outcomes and customer service standards of excellence;
- Review, revise, maintain, and develop new clinic and personal counselling policies and procedures;
- Actively incorporate equity, diversity, and inclusion concepts and initiatives into all aspects of the processes and practices;
- Evaluate operations, recommending and implementing organizational and procedural changes and processes.

**Please note this position requires availability for on-call support outside of regular business hours.**

**What you need to Succeed**
- Professional Degree in Psychology, Health Science, Nursing, Social Work;
- Member in good standing with a regulatory college;
- 6-8 years of progressive leadership experience, working within the health field, delivering care and providing leadership in a healthcare setting;
- Experience leading quality improvement projects and benchmarking to ensure delivery of high-quality care;
- Experience leading in a healthcare setting working with diverse communities and within anti-oppressive frameworks and sensitivity in working with underrepresented and/or traditionally marginalized populations;
- Experience in analyzing and synthesizing large volumes of data particularly with regards to emerging trends, challenges and leading research;
- Demonstrated experience with the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991;
- In depth knowledge of the health care field with extensive knowledge of health care clinic operations, management, and administration;
- Knowledge of health equity with demonstrated experience leading with equity, diversity and inclusion efforts;
- Awareness of emerging issues, trends, and developments in the field of mental/ physical health and student health services;
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical software systems, and all pertinent legislation, including the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and the Regulated Health Professions Act;
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills;
- Highly client-service focused with the ability to interact with others in a tactful and diplomatic manner;
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with an analytical and resolution mindset;
- Ability to cultivate and maintain ongoing relationships with students, staff, faculties, departments, and community partners.

**Salary and Benefit Information**
- Job Grade (O), Salary Scale ($83,440 - $143,040)*;
- Target Hiring Range: $83,440-$115,000;
- This position includes full comprehensive benefits including tuition waiver.
