**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Graduate of a Medical Office Assistant Program or Medical Terminology Certificate and equivalent in related experience
- One year related clerical experience in a health care/medical office clerical setting
- One year recent experience with computer software including Microsoft Office programs
- Accurate keyboarding skills with a minimum of 50 w.p.m.
Demonstrated ability to work calmly and effectively within an interdisciplinary team-oriented environment, anticipate potential problems/conflicts and implement appropriate actions
- Demonstrated professional interactions and communications with patients, public, colleagues and medical staff indicating commitment to patient/client centred care
- Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, decision making skills with high regard for confidentiality
- Compliance with confidential requirements under the Niagara Health Privacy Policy
- Proven time management skills with ability to prioritize multiple priorities effectively and independently
- Must be available for all shifts, vacation replacement, sick time and paid holidays
- Travel between sites when required
- Consistent and regular attendance required
- Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset
- Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
