**Duties**:
Are you passionate about geosciences? Would you like to work with experts from across the country to help Canada in geosciences? If so, the position of Head of analytical geochemistry laboratory at the Quebec Division of the Geological Survey of Canada could be for you.

1. Plan and manage the activities of the division’s geoscience laboratories.
2. Carry out research in stable isotope geochemistry and prepare written and oral information documents.
3. Contribute to the advancement of the next generation of geosciences.
4. Manage personnel and financial resources.
5. Represent the laboratories at divisional, national and international levels.
6. Collaborate internally and externally and negotiate partnerships.

Essential Education
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a natural, physical, or applied science with specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position.
Note:
The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.

Degree equivalency

Essential Experience
EE1: Experience in logistics planning, coordinating and prioritizing research tasks and projects.
EE2: Experience in research and development, analysis, interpretation, and data synthesis in isotope geochemistry.
EE3: Experience in research laboratory management, including occupational health and safety.
EE4: Experience in managing and planning human, financial and technical resources for scientific activities.
EE5: Experience in synthesizing information into reports, peer-reviewed manuscripts and presenting research findings to various audiences.
