This position is open to be located in any of our **hcma** offices in Vancouver, Victoria and Edmonton.

The Marketing Manager is an integral member of the marketing team at **hcma**, contributing to the longevity and future success of the firm. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager oversees day-to-day marketing efforts to support the firm’s objectives. To succeed, this individual has experience with a wide range of marketing elements - from social media and public relations, to events and sponsorships and content strategy. This diverse experience empowers them to successfully contribute to firm creative pursuits.

**What you will do**:

- As brand ambassador, you will manage office-wide marketing efforts ensuring all are consistent with the **hcma** brand, meeting our high standard for quality and execution
- Build strong relationships with leadership team members, proactively identifying opportunities to support their practice
- Identify opportunities for firm leadership to build their personal brands within relevant industry and community associations
- In collaboration with the Director of Marketing and firm leadership, create annual marketing plans and annual budgets, that support the firm’s strategic business objectives
- Develop and implement creative, compelling, and unique marketing campaigns as part of firm marketing plans
- Manage the annual marketing budget, departmental metrics, and reporting systems with support from the team
- Work in close collaboration with **hcma**’s in-house team of graphic designers and brand strategists on visually engaging content
- Proactively engage and liaise with external collaborators, partners, and consultants (PR, web development, conference organizers, etc.) to create and maximize opportunities for **hcma** to build our brand and cultivate relationships
- Conduct research and competitor analysis regularly to inform the firm’s market position, differentiators, and areas of opportunity
- Lead the ongoing procurement, development, and adoption of the systems and structures supporting the marketing team, including relevant technology
- Onboard and train new team members
- Listen deeply, give people the space to be open, and respond in a caring and constructive way
- Mentor those with less experience and support team members in achieving career development plans and goals
- Participate in semi-annual and annual reviews of team members
- Be an ambassador, representing **hcma** in the best possible light

**What you will bring**:

- Strong communication is essential, both written and verbal, with great editing ability
- Adaptability, initiative, and a positive attitude are highly valued - you must thrive in a team environment
- Creativity is a big part of the role. We’d like to see you demonstrate design thinking and past success with marketing campaigns and projects
- Our team is growing. An ability to manage, motivate, and lead high-achieving teams like ours is essential
- Effective project management is key day-to-day; you’ll be self-motivated and confident under pressure coordinating multiple deadlines, with strong organizational, planning and time management skills
- Maintains a composed and professional attitude during periods of high activity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign
- Experience in graphic design and/or copywriting
- Strong working knowledge of social media platforms, including best practices for Instagram and LinkedIn
- An understanding of effective website design and content strategy would be helpful, but not required

**What experience you might have**:

- Diploma or degree in marketing, business, communications or similar
- Minimum 5 years in a marketing role
- Experience in the AEC industry or with a marketing/design agency is a strong asset

**Salary**: $1.00-$2.00 per year
