**Mental Health & Addictions Clinical Counsellor**

**Part Time - 25 hrs./week**

Peak House is a provincial resource serving youth and their families across the province of British Columbia. It is a voluntary, ten-week, live-in, treatment program for youth seeking freedom from problematic substance use. We aim to provide greater continuity of support, stability, and care for young people in our province.

**The Position**

Imagine yourself in an exciting setting, working closely with young people in a vibrant, live-in environment. Your extensive knowledge of substance abuse and mental health/wellness theories will be your compass as you work towards creating lasting positive change. Join our team and you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of youth and families in our province.
- You have a Graduate Degree in relevant discipline, RCC designation or equivalent
- You have experience and an enjoyment of working with youth, preferably in a live-in setting
- You will possess a strong foundation of understanding around substance use, mental health, development, and theoretical models of change
- You have flexible, generosity of spirit, kindness and enjoy being collaborative in a dynamic team environment
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Your unwavering commitment to cultural accountability and diversity ensures an inclusive environment is a core value
- You have a non-restricted valid driver's license

**Role Responsibilities**:

- You will have the opportunity to provide innovative individual and group therapy sessions.
- You will attend regular case consultations, staff meetings, and daily shift changes. We value open communication and collaboration.
- Flexibility is key - you'll also assist with regular programming as needed. Your adaptability and willingness to jump in wherever help is required.
- Attention to detail is crucial when it comes to maintaining client files and reports. Your organization skills will shine as you ensure that everything is accurate, up-to-date, and confidential.
- You’ll participate in some require work in the community. This means, that you’ll attend case conferences, visit community resources, and provide presentations with other team members.

- individual and/or group counselling: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Registered Clinical Counsellor designation (preferred)
