HRIS and Data Specialist, Workday

About SNDL

Role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Build relationships and partner with key stakeholders to ensure Human Resources collaboration and input exists on changes to Human Resources owned or supported content and practices.
- Provide Workday maintenance support by configuring HCM and Recruiting set up.
- Partner with Human Resources and Business Technology teams to resolve system issues for HCM and Recruiting modules as escalated by users.
- Identify requirements and, design, configure, and test solutions.
- Leads and supports the testing of related Workday releases, updates, enhancements, and fixes.
- Provide support on the annual policy review ensuring employee policy sign off is actioned through Workday.
- Support the automation and digitization of Human Resources data collection and tracking as needed for adherence to internal standards and external audit compliance.
- Performs mass upload using enterprise integration builder (EIB) as required.
- Work with the HR team to improve manual or inefficient processes by researching and proposing solutions to improve Workday configuration and functionality.
- Support other Workday modules as needed.
- Participate in all integration meetings to understand high-level business initiatives and downstream Human Resources change management needs.
- Oversee key takeaways and actions needed from integration meetings to support project management, with clear updates, timelines, and accountabilities.
- Highlight areas of risk or opportunity for integration and change management efforts.
- Act as a Workday Reporting expert to develop and maintain ongoing reports and dashboards using Workday Report Writer and Excel.
- Runs scheduled reports and create reports and dashboard for the business as needed.
- Build and update Human Resources materials which may include templates, tools and training resources with the intent to improve overall efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience.
- Participate in audits and prepare samples for review by internal and external auditors.
- Ensure adequate controls exist and are followed in the areas of responsibility.
- Comply with proper administration, storage, and safe keeping of records. Must understand privacy and security restrictions associated with these documents.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge of Workday by attending educational workshops, attending Workday User group networking events, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.

Experience and Qualifications
- Must have previous experience with Workday products including HCM, Recruiting, and Reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Human Resources, Commerce, IT or other related
- discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of broad HR experience in areas such as payroll, compensation, benefits or talent management.
- Previous experience working within Workday, developing, and implementing business, processes, procedures, and reporting.
- Have a strong understanding of relevant employment legislation and laws (in most Canadian provinces - currently BC, AB, SK, MB, ON, NS and NB).
- Experience in retail and/or a manufacturing facility strongly desired, particularly in the liquor and/or cannabis industry.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions an asset, as SNDL is continuing to grow.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills required.
- Experience with large workforce of 2,500+ employees.
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
- Must have reliable transportation.
