**Product Owner**

**WHO I AM**

The Product Owner is responsible for ensuring their team delivers as much value as possible. They develop a deep understanding of business requirements, user goals, and technology, in order to develop a clear direction for their team that balances these competing priorities. They set and maintain a vision for their team, and translate this into action by prioritizing the product backlog and defining user stories that capture the goals and requirements for their team to deliver against. They work closely with their team, especially the Business Analyst Scrum Master, Development Lead and

**WHAT I DO**

**Core Responsibilities**:
Develop a clear product vision and communicate it effectively to their team, colleagues, and stakeholders

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the vision and product roadmap align with organizational objectives and has buy-in from key stakeholders

Capture and communicate user stories to scrum team and use their feedback to inform continuous improvement

Maintain and refine backlog items to enhance user satisfaction and ensure customer driven design is reflected in user story scoping and acceptance criteria

Facilitate release planning with stakeholders (including rollout) as well as weekly demos

Collaborate daily with members of the core agile delivery team

Work closely with the Scrum Master to foster close cooperation across all team members, encourage cross-training and supporting each other

Identify technical trade-offs and problem solve to develop alternative solutions

Organize the product backlog and prioritize items into the sprint backlog

**Nice to Have**:
Bachelor’s degree

Previous experience as a Product Owner, IT System Analyst and/or Scrum Master

Experience in Agile Development, working with and leading a team

Security Clearance

Certification on Product Ownership (e.g., CSPO, PSPO etc.)

Knowledge of departmental mission, mandate, vision, roles, programs, policies, guidelines, procedures, and systems

Knowledge of different technologies
