JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Product Owner at SpryPoint you will be prioritizing the product backlog for a portfolio of products including SpryBackflow, SpryFiber, and SpryIDM, managing the product vision, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring that our development team is delivering products that bring our users value. You will be accountable for discovering ideas and developing them into products that bring value to existing and future customers. As a Product Owner, you will develop expertise in our industry, our products, and our users.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to discover product ideas
- Managing and evaluating product ideas from multiple sources both internal and external
- Facilitating feedback loops throughout the development cycle to ensure ideas translate to value products
- Working closely the a Development Team Lead to ensure the successful delivery of product
- Engaging with Service Delivery on specific project requirements
- Managing the development backlog for the products in your portfolio
- Supporting the Development team through the SCRUM sprint cycles
- Balancing our development capacity to ensure the product is meeting the needs of our existing customers and enabling our sales team to acquire new clients
- Providing demonstrations of your products to internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborating with our User Experience Designer on producing mock-ups
- Creating low fidelity mock-ups
- Ensuring that epics effectively communicate the roadmap of the product
- Providing forecasts on when items will be available in the product
- Supporting the sales process for estimating quotable development work
EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
- You have a tendency to be positive, creative and curious
- You are thorough and detail-oriented
- Experience working on or with an Agile SCRUM team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of system design & analysis
- Experience in the Utilities Industry would be an asset
- Product Owner experience is an asset - product owner experience in enterprise software is even better
- You thrive on working closely and collaborating with others whether they be internal to the firm, or directly with our customers
