Product Owner

As a Product Owner, you will work together with our Research and Development (R&D) team on software and hardware solutions that revolutionize one of the biggest industries on earth. You will also interact and coordinate cross-functionally with Customer Support, Marketing and Sales to ensure the products’ success.
Working closely with the Director of R&D and CTO, you will continuously review the business needs, identify opportunities and risks, and be involved with defining priorities and milestones. Additionally, working closely with a broad range of stakeholders and departments, you will ensure that information from the market and customer helps drive decisions and that there is tight coordination in new product introduction.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Engage with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
- Assess current competitor offerings and opportunities for differentiation
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to help set priorities and timelines for product design, development, and release
- Assist in defining and tracking product plans, scoping and prioritizing features and bug fixes based on maximum customer impact, and defining epics/stories for development, documentation, and delivery
- Analyze product requirements and develop appropriate programs to ensure they are successful achieved
- Identify internal and external/third-party hardware-software solution synergies. Work with third parties to assess partnerships and integration opportunities
- Perform product demos to customers, partners and internal stakeholders (e.g. sales team)
- Collaborate with Marketing Department to develop sales and marketing tools and collateral
- Implement tools, methods, and processes to improve the internal communication and alignment between multiple teams
- Actively lead and participate in partners/customer advisory boards with customers and prospects
- Analyze solutions against competitive landscape, as well as identify strengths and weaknesses
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, keeping them updated on products’ progress and addressing any concerns that may arise
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments to ensure that the company’s offerings remain competitive
**REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Development, or related field.
- 3+ years experience in a similar product management, product owner, product analyst or project management role.
- In-depth understanding of software development methodologies (SCRUM or Agile).
- Experience bringing new products to market.
- Highly organized with outstanding interpersonal, communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset and a collaborative problem-solver, with a very strong attention to detail.
- Strong Project Management experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong team player with a motivation to be part of continuous improvement culture.
- Experience in the software-as-a-service (SaaS) industry and cloud-based solutions.
- Familiarity with big data analysis tools and techniques.
- Expertise in at least one major programming language considered an asset.
- Experience working with hardware products would be considered an asset.
