Cashier Helper

As the last point of contact with customers, the Cashier Helper is responsible for ensuring that their experience ends well. They pack customers' products and carry their bags to the car. They are available to assist cashiers and answer customer questions, as well as assist in the cleaning of their department.

**Health and Safety and Food Hygiene**:

- Adhere to the store's dress and personal hygiene code
- Adhere to safety standards
- Follow food safety procedures as required by the department

**Customer Service**:

- Greet customers, advise them and answer their questions
- Strategically pack orders in order to distribute the weight and the products of the same nature while ensuring that the products do not spoil
- Pick up products from different departments and do price checks
- Pack foods that could contaminate other foods separately (e.g. raw meat, poultry, fish)
- Offer to carry bags to the car for the customer
- Cleaning and maintenance:

- Carry and sort returnable bottles to the back of the store
- Put away products left at the cash registers
- Collect and put away baskets and carts left at the cash registers and in the parking lot
- Ensure cleanliness of the store entrance and customer washrooms
- Other related duties

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $16.10 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 44 per week
