Manager, Projects & Partnerships

This Manager, Projects & Partnerships is responsible for leading, overseeing and integrating a variety of Card Operations Supplier Management Shared Services (COSMSS) strategic/tactical initiatives and system enhancements impacting RBC products and processes, balancing Risk, Operations, and Compliance/Regulatory requirement components and ultimately enhancing the client experience/market share. Acts as a key conduit & SME with P&CB National Office partners, focus on driving superior operational effectiveness and client experience by representing the Supplier in RBC meetings and managing deliverables and timelines for project intake, delivery. The individual will also provide SME Services, process planning, coordination, implementation and will work collaboratively with colleagues sharing best practices and the identification and implementation of improvements to day to day operational activities to support effective Supplier oversight Ensures role expectations, goals & objectives are accomplished within approved timeframes, scope and budget, and adds value by sharing overall Supplier expertise and best practices with RBC and Supplier stakeholders. Proactively applies principles of our new Leadership Model consistently for positive outcomes/results.

**What will you do?**
- Responsible for the oversight and management of Partnerships activities working closely with cross functional partners to deliver best in class products and services
- Responsible for supporting and integrating a variety of projects including system enhancements and new products; oversees system enhancements/change activities through to completion (UAT and PIV)
- Accountable for the successful launch and seamless implementation and integration of supplier solutions for assigned projects and change requests - on time, on budget, and on point functionality
- Strategic imperative to ensure suppliers’ functions and solutions are in alignment with project goals and with relevant risk and compliance guidelines, and that solutions are efficient and effective
- As appropriate, manages or contributes to research and analysis leading to definition of supplier requirements, to assist in the resolution of complex business problems or to assist in building solutions to new products
- Reviews, signs off, or coordinates approvals on various artefacts during project stage, e.g. change requests, business requirements, test plans, risk assessments, etc.
- Ensures key stakeholders are kept informed through timely updates, critical path measurements, progress reports, and issues escalation
- Throughout project lifecycle, identifies new or unused supplier capabilities that could be leveraged for greater efficiency and effectiveness
- Leads investigation and resolution of complex, high and medium impact system malfunctions or process breakdowns during project and post-project warranty stages, convening cross functional teams, establishing root cause, completing impact analysis, formulating and executing remediation strategies and completing a post-mortem review to leverage lessons learned and mitigate risk of recurrence
- Provides support and counsel for pre-project scoping inquiries regarding assigned suppliers
- Demonstrates a collaborative approach - exemplifies appropriate behaviors, language and actions supporting a positive and productive work environment on a consistent daily basis
- Accountable for cross-functional integration of launched projects and changes into Supplier Management and Supplier Operations teams
- Engages other function leads and team members as needed to ensure Supplier Management Framework (including contract, service levels, escalation protocols, ongoing relationship reviews, etc.) is in place, operational processes and workflows are clearly defined, and invoice management is established for implementation
- Facilitates knowledge handover and transfer of solution, technology, and integration with RBC systems to other functional teams
- Ensures post-monitoring of projects is in place within COSM, with appropriate measures of success documented and monitored to ensure strategies are being achieved and that ongoing operations will be stable

- Creates and/or standardizes supplier change request and project lifecycle procedures
- Communicates supplier procedures to internal stakeholders to level-set expectations during the project lifecycle
