**Title**: Cyber Security Analyst - Tier 3

**Introduction**:
As a Tier 3 security analyst at Avanade, you will play a key role in safeguarding our systems and data from cyber threats and incidents. You will work independently and as part of a team to detect, analyze, and respond to security events in real time, using various tools and techniques. You will provide feedback and suggestions to leadership on how to improve security and processes. You will also communicate and coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders during a security incident, such as management, legal, network, Avanade’s Asset Protection team, and others. This will help you establish strong working relationships and promote a security culture within and outside our organization.

** What you’ll do**:

- Incident Management: Manage all phases of the cybersecurity incident handling process.
- Data Handling: Use your scripting skills to query, parse, and analyze data and digital evidence.
- Digital Forensics: Deep knowledge of digital forensics methodology, security architecture, system administration, and networking (including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, DHCP, SMTP).
- Documentation and Reporting: Create and present thorough reports and documentation of incidents and investigations.

**Skills and experiences**:

- 3+ years of experience in security operations, threat detection, incident response, and risk management.
- Proficiency in data query languages like KQL, SQL, or SPL.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Security tools such as Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Identity, and Cloud.
- Experience and knowledge of information security principles, practices and techniques to analyze threat event data to evaluate malicious activity and identify and prevent cyberattacks
- Proven ability to script, query, and parse data quickly and efficiently.

- You respond urgently and appropriately, demonstrating sound judgment, tact, diplomacy, integrity, and professionalism.
- You might be a Certified Security Expert, holding one or more security certifications such as SC-200, SC-900, GSEC, GCIH, CEH, CISSP, or other industry-relevant certifications.
