Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Department Manager is responsible for leading and managing the housekeeping operations at Simple Hosts' properties. This role involves overseeing the housekeeping staff, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met, and maintaining efficient housekeeping processes. The Housekeeping Department Manager will collaborate with other departments, communicate with property owners, and strive to provide exceptional housekeeping services to enhance the overall guest experience.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Team Leadership:

- Supervise and lead the housekeeping staff, providing guidance, support, and performance management.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
2. Housekeeping Operations:

- Develop and implement housekeeping procedures and standards to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and monitor daily housekeeping activities, including room cleaning, laundry, and public area maintenance.
- Oversee the inventory and supply management for housekeeping, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and address any maintenance or quality issues.

3. Staff Training and Development:

- Identify training needs and provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and performance of housekeeping staff.
- Ensure that all housekeeping staff are familiar with and adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging staff to share ideas and implement best practices.
4. Quality Assurance and Guest Satisfaction:

- Monitor guest feedback and address any housekeeping-related concerns or complaints promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager and other departments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Implement quality assurance programs to maintain high cleanliness standards and enhance the guest experience.

5. Budgeting and Expense Management:

- Assist in the development of the housekeeping department budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
- Monitor and manage expenses related to housekeeping operations, including supplies, equipment, and laundry services.
- Seek cost-effective solutions without compromising quality and guest satisfaction.
6. Reporting and Documentation:

- Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, expenses, and staff performance.
- Generate regular reports on housekeeping performance, including room occupancy, cleaning productivity, and guest satisfaction.
- Prepare documentation related to housekeeping procedures, standards, and guidelines.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma in a relevant field (Hospitality, Hotel Management, Business) or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in housekeeping management, preferably in the hospitality or property management industry.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and laundry operations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in housekeeping operations.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, property owners, and guests.
