You will join the Temiskaming Lodge team in a brand new home on a journey into the Butterfly Model of Care wherein you will be an integral part in helping to create an atmosphere of collaboration, passion and person centered care. The Butterfly Model of Care focuses on delivering emotion-focused care that connects with people in a dignified, human way. It addresses the holistic needs of the individuals and supports quality of life for each person living with dementia across the whole of their lived experience.

Under the direction of the Administrator, the Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor is responsible and accountable for managing an effective housekeeping and laundry department with the focus on ensuring the delivery of quality service for the home, residents, and staff.

**The following traits and qualifications are required**:
Experience as a professional housekeeper
Management experience preferred
Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act;
Working knowledge of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
Must be adaptable and flexible; possess patience and tact
Must be able to physically complete all job routine tasks that include pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting and bending for periods of time
Must be able to multi-task
Must be organized and able to set priorities
Must have a genuine interest in the care of the elderly
Ability to obtain a clear vulnerable sector criminal record check
Must have effective English skills, written and verbal.
