**About the role**:

- Support children in all domains of development.
- Knowledge, understanding or experience with children with behavioral needs.
- Guide children in their play while effectively communicating tolerance, patience, and understanding.
- Establish and continually maintain reciprocal relationships with children and families.
- Knowledge and compliance of health and safety practices.
- Participate in professional development opportunities.
- Ensure licensing regulations and accreditation standards are consistently followed.

**To be successful in this position you should possess**:

- Early Learning and Child Care certificate or diploma; certification through the Government of Alberta as a minimum Level 1 Early Childhood Educator, OR willingness to obtain within the first year of employment (at no cost to the employee).
- Current Child Welfare Intervention Record Check.
- Current Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check
- Current CPR and Basic First Aid
- Proficiency in French is considered an asset

Although our name is new, First Flights has been providing 4 Wing and the Cold Lake community with quality child care for over 30 years as part of the Military Family Resource Centre.
