**Responsibilities**
- Affectively manage communications with External and Internal stakeholder regarding payables inquiries.
- Obtain approvals, validate and enter complex invoices into accounting system
- Ensure timely and accurate payments
- Implement guidelines for proper handling and coding of invoices to maintain general ledger accuracy
- Investigating discrepancies in invoices
- Matching invoices with Purchase Orders (PO)
- Obtaining appropriate approvals for non-PO invoices
- Vendor and Customer Account reconciliations
- Handling supplier and Site queries relating to payables
- Processing Travel Expense Reports
- AP month-end closing and reporting
- Maintaining accurate historical records and filing documents
- Involvement in data cleansing activity and data ownership transfer
- Tracking actual costs vs budget
- Other responsibilities as required or assigned

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 2-3 years of Accounts Payables experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Post-secondary education in accounting/bookkeeping, or similar
- Good command of accounting knowledge
- Past bookkeeping experience with a public company is an asset
- Sage knowledge will be an added advantage
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office (with strong excel skills)
