The Arts and Heritage Foundation of St. Albert has a term position as a Museum Educator at the Musée Héritage Museum and Heritage Sites. As one of the educators, you will deliver creative, relevant, quality school and community programming in the region. This position also works to generate awareness of the museum and heritage sites as a learning resource for teachers and students, promoting a greater appreciation of the history and culture of St. Albert.

**Responsibilities**:

- Delivering school and community programs at the museum and heritage sites.
- Preparing materials for school and community programs.
- Updating programming calendar.
- Maintaining and coordinating bookings for educational kits.
- Purchasing and sourcing program supplies.
- Attending Arts and Heritage program meetings
- Assisting with developing the activities in the Discovery Room to enhance current exhibitions.
- Maintaining the educational space.
- Providing front desk coverage.
- Assisting with the planning and attending special events.
- Experience running educational and community programs in a museum or heritage setting.
- Strong organizational skills and be able to work on multiple projects.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
- Knowledge of the Alberta curriculum.
- First Aid certificate.
- A positive outlook.
- Awareness of Indigenous protocols.

**A Note on Qualifications**:
We believe you could be qualified for this position in many ways

**Salary Range and Hours**:

- $51,184 -52,721 pa ($28.13-$28.96 hourly)
- 35 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, with evening and weekend work as required to facilitate events and programs.

**Requirements**:
The Arts and Heritage Foundation requires employees who work with children to have a Vulnerable Sector Police Information CHECK (VSPIC).
