We are looking to hire an office assistant that can fully embody our patient center approach.

Position Summary: The Chiropractic Assistant is responsible for a wide variety of office duties in support of the treating chiropractor and general office function.

**Major Responsibilities**
- Greet and manage patients in a professional and caring manner
- Types forms, letters, reports, and memos as necessary
- Obtain, interpret and explain insurance coverage to new & returning patients
- Accepts and records payments
- Clinic laundry, tidying, and organizing
- Organizes, maintains, and coordinates office records and files in their proper locations
- Other duties as assigned by chiropractor

**Requirements**:

- Working experience in related customer service field
- Must have a driver’s license or a reliable form of transportation
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast paced environment
- Ability to take initiative
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent customer service skills, friendly, outgoing, and willingness to contribute to a team
- Ability to maintaining filing systems and databases, and records software
- Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills
- Above average written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills and listening skills
- Excellent attendance record (with ability to provide references)
- Ability to adapt quickly to new software
- Previous experience in a similar clinical setting would be considered an asset
- Bilingual would be an asset

**Job Type**: part time - casual

**We are looking for someone to do 1 shift a week on Tuesdays from 1pm-6pm. The applicant would also be our floater assistant and help out for vacation and sick leave coverage as needed.**

Education: high school diploma, college diploma would be an asset

Required license or certification: Driver's License

**Job Types**: Casual, Part-time
Part-time hours: 6-12 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cornwall, ON K6J 3S7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
