**About the role**

We’re looking for an _Internal Audit Assistant Manager _to join our growing team

We have an important and dynamic role at Intact, where we deliver high quality audits while living the Trusted Advisor mindset. As an**_ Internal Audit Assistant Manager _**you will be a key member of the performant and well respected internal audit team. In this role, you will lead the successful completion of operational audits in accordance with Corporate Audit Services’ mandate, audit methodology, technology, and best practices in place.

This position can be based in Toronto or Montreal.

Note: The level of role offered will be determined based on skills and experience.

**What you’ll do here**:

- Support in the delivery of the real-time audit plan, timely and within budget, by leading the day-to-day management of an audit from start-to-finish within various business areas and over pillar projects, with mínimal management oversight.
- Participate in kick-off and closing meetings by effectively communicating audit objective, scope, findings, and recommendations to senior management.
- Assist with issue tracking and escalation mechanisms to ensure that the actions and recommendations arising from audits are appropriately, timely, and sustainably addressed.
- Prepare crisp and concise audit reports for review by Manager, Director and Chief Auditor.
- Establish strong, open and constructive relationships with business stakeholders, with opportunities to represent CAS on selected Management and Committees.
- Participate in the development and modifications of audit practices and tools as well as department initiatives.

**What you bring to the table**:

- Bachelor’s degree in administration or related field
- 5 years of professional operational auditing experience or relevant experience in project management
- A recognized professional designation (CIA, CPA, MBA, CISA, PMP, CFE, etc.) is an asset
- Experience in internal audit ‎at a large public organization or external audit at Big 4 is preferred
- Strong analytical skills leading to accurate conclusions
- Strong project management skills; Committed to timely delivery of high-quality work within budget
- Versed in audit methodologies; Knowledge of various governance, risk, and controls framework, including the leading practices of the profession
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Dynamic individual with a high level of energy and engaged widely across the company‎
- Prior insurance experience is an asset
- Experience with the use of data analytics tools is an asset
- Bilingualism is an asset - _Need to interact on a regular basis with an English-speaking clientele and colleagues across the country_
