Overview:
Element is looking for a highly motivated **Technician** to conduct various fire performance tests, including the analysis of test results to well defined standards and/or standard operating procedures. This position involves sample preparation, physical testing, scheduling, equipment setup, maintenance / calibration, client interaction, and report writing.

**Responsibilities**:

- Safely test materials associated with recognized flammability property standards, sample preparation, data collection & analysis, and report preparation
- Participate in client correspondence and project coordination
- Purchase equipment & materials and maintain equipment
- Maintain equipment calibration
- All work is to be conducted as per Element H&S procedures and industry-accepted safety protocols

Skills / Qualifications:

- Completion of a 2-year college program in engineering technology and experience
- Ability to adapt and to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Lifting requirements: lifting
50 lbs. on occasion
- Experience with common construction power and hand tools
