**Major Purpose**

In November 2022, the Government of Canada awarded FCM (via the Green Municipal Fund) $530M to deliver the Local Leadership for Climate Adaptation (Adaptation) program as an implementing partner to deliver tools and resources to Canadian communities, specifically to support a minimum of 1400 community-based climate adaptation initiatives over 8 years beginning in 2024/25, protecting Canadians and their communities, as well as minimizing costs associated with climate impacts through three broad areas of work (“tracks”):

- Adaptation planning, capacity building and institutional mainstreaming (Climate-ready Plans and Processes - Track 1);
- Accelerating local-level implementation of adaptation solutions (Adaptation in Action - Track 2); and,
- Financing adaptation projects to attract greater private sector participation in adaptation financing (Financing Adaptation - Track 3).

As the Manager, Funding - Municipal Asset Management Program (MAMP)/Climate-Ready Plans and Processes (CRPP) you will be working with an established collaborative and dynamic team of professionals supporting integration of municipal asset management and bold climate action at the local level.

Reporting to the Project Director, MAMP/CRPP, you will be accountable for leading a diverse and matrixed team of staff currently delivering the MAMP’s Grants for Municipalities pillar to its successful completion by October 2024; and, transitioning the team to design and launch the Climate-ready Plans and Processes track of the Local Leadership for Climate Adaptation (LLCA) program enabling integration of equitable climate action into municipal asset management and other municipal infrastructure systems and processes.

MAMP and LLCA are intended to be efficient, impactful and accessible to all municipalities across Canada enabling equitable action towards resilient communities. In a manner consistent with FCM’s values and employment philosophy, you will manage the Grants for Municipalities staff, coordinate workflows and oversee MAMP and LLCA-Track 1 funding delivery.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide guidance and support to the funding team to ensure that clients are assisted through all stages of the funding process in accordance with the funding eligibility criteria.
- Ensure compliance with FCM records retention standards.
- Prepare briefing material to senior management and to Council to summarize funding recommendations and to report on progress towards objectives.
- Review and recommend for approval all requests for changes to contract terms, including liaising with internal or outside legal counsel, as required.
- Ensure that clients are compliant with all deliverables and reporting requirements to support LLCA's strategic planning and reporting process.
- Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of current funding processes and tools, research value-added best practices, understand the needs and constraints of clients, understand federal funding partner legal and contractual requirements, and contribute to
