*Role*
The Sales Manager will lead the inside and outside sales team to meet company objectives and targets. The incumbent will provide guidance, training, and mentorship to the sales team to ensure they are successful in their role. The Sales Manager will execute sales strategies that reflect the organization's goals by utilizing key metrics to enhance the growth of assigned territories.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities *include, but are not limited to the following:
*Responsibilities*
- Develop business plans that reflect organizational goals that focus on sales, revenue, and expense controls.
- Meet and exceed sales goals set by the organization.
- Actively manage sales performance and develop sales force competence of team to ensure goals and targets are achieved.
- Collaborate with marketing/procurement teams on maintaining accurate inventory levels to support successful lead generation and sales strategies.
- Responsible for the training and development of the sales team to promote the organization's products, brands, and services.
- Maintain and execute customer development plans aimed at building long-term partnerships.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies such as pricing intelligence and lead generation.
- Coach and mentor sales teams regularly to ensure business needs are met.
*Qualifications*
- 8+ years of progressive experience in a similar client-facing sales role, within the Construction or Manufacturing industries
- 5+ years of managerial experience.
- Proven ability to effectively manage, train and develop employees.
- Post-secondary education from an accredited institution (significant sales experience, in lieu of education will be considered)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong customer service experience, coupled with a positive, professional attitude.
- Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
