Propane Equipment Picker Operator

Mutual Propane Ltd has proudly served the province of Alberta since 1954. We are currently in search of a dedicated and proficient Picker Operator to join our team within a high-paced environment. As a Picker Operator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our customers propane necessities, ensuring the secure and efficient delivery of propane storage tanks and associated equipment. This role is seasonal and requires an adept individual to aid in the delivery/pickup segment of our winter operations.

**Position Overview**:We are currently seeking a skilled and committed Picker Operator to contribute to our team within a fast-paced setting. The role of the Picker Operator is central to our operations involving the assistance of customers with their propane needs, as well as ensuring the secure and efficient delivery of propane storage tanks and associated equipment. This is a seasonal position focused on supporting the pickup and delivery elements of our winter operations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Operate single axle picker truck with knuckle crane, forklifts, and other equipment.
- Safely transporting and collecting propane storage tanks and related equipment within Edmonton, surrounding communities and other remote areas.
- Executing minor connections or disconnections on-site.
- Organizing and maintaining our storage yard of large storage tanks, propane dispensers, and equipment.
- Managing tanks needing repair or recycling through proper flaring procedures.
- Carrying out tank evacuations as needed.
- Assisting the parts department with tasks such as invoicing, cylinder returns, forklift operation, and handling scrap tanks and brass.
- Supporting our Lac La Biche branch with delivery requirements and equipment transfers.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and completing requisite forms on a daily basis.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid drivers license with Air Brake Endorsement.
- Picker crane certifications.
- Prior experience in customer service, particularly within fast-paced contexts.
- Proficiency in managing heavy equipment and materials.
- Familiarity with remote delivery and pickup locations.
- Experience in Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
- Capability to work alone or collaboratively as part of a team.
- Prior involvement in the propane industry will be a valuable asset.

- Possession of all mandatory training and certifications for a quick integration.
**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months
**Salary**: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
