Durham Periodontics is looking for a Surgical Dental Assistant (Level II Dental Assistant) to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities include:

- Assist the dentist during surgical procedures, ensuring instruments and equipment are prepared and properly sterilized
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a sterile and efficient environment
- Take and process digital dental xrays, impressions and other diagnostic records as required.
- Educate patients on post-operative care instructions and assist in answering any questions or concerns
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Assist dental hygienists

**Requirements**:

- Certified Level II Dental Assistant
- Prior experience as a surgical dental assistant is an asset
- Proficiency in digital dental xrays, impressions and other dental diagnostic procedures
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control protocols
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team oriented environment, while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
