Dental Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental team to provide high-quality dental care to our patients. Your role will involve assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for our patients.
**Duties**:
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and setting up equipment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Take impressions of patients' teeth for the creation of dental appliances
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring and trimming models
- Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and medical histories
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment calendar
- Assist with front desk duties such as answering phone calls, verifying insurance information, and collecting payments
**Skills**:
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Logitech and Sidexis
- Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques and procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry
- Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable
- Ability to operate CAD/CAM systems for digital impressions is a plus
- Excellent personality and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the dental team
We offer competitive compensation based on experience and skills. This is a full-time position with regular office hours.
Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
