**Migrant Support Worker
- Settlement Services**

The **Migrant Support Worker **under the TeaMWork project will work directly with Temporary Foreign Workers, local farmers and under the general supervision of the Settlement Services Coordinator. The Migrant Support Worker needs to be a detail-orientated individual who can manage a project from initiation to completion and ensure all milestones are completed on time.

**Essential Functions**
- Skilled in data input, analysis and communication
- Present to groups of stakeholders, services providers and clients
- Daily responsibilities may include data analysis, presentation, meeting preparation and follow-up, consultations, and report review
- Data collection and reporting
- Support project reporting by compiling project milestones, events, and best practices

**Planning**
- Provide reports on the project to the Department Coordinator/Executive Director as required
- Collect and submit statistics to the Department Coordinator in a timely fashion
- Prepare other reports/summaries/documents/proposals as required
- Assist with the creation of presentations, training materials, and outreach initiatives.

**Organization and Coordination**
- Collect and gather information about farmers and migrant workers
- Use appropriate tracking systems to monitor applicable program statistics
- Coordinate scheduling of client services including one-on-one, workshops, assessments, etc.
- Attend regular departmental meetings in order to maintain ongoing departmental communications
- Support annual project evaluation
- Work collaboratively with other team members, agencies, community service provider organizations, institutions and clients

**Public Relations**
- Foster new and ongoing community-based partnerships
- Develop and facilitate presentations, focus groups, and stakeholder conversations
- Oversee the planning and coordination of information sessions, events related to the program and act as the program’s spokesperson maintaining an active community presence

**EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE**

A post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field (Settlement, Business, etc.)

**AND**

Knowledge and interest in, the Canadian Immigration process

**ADDITIONAL SKILLS**
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- Competency with online meeting platforms including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.
- Effective time-management skills with ability to meet deadlines and achieve targets
- Effective attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with clients and front-line staff
- Understand the mandate of the project and effectively communicate that mandate to clients, employers and community partners
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias

**HOURS AND SALARY**
- Full Time position at 35 hours per week, flexible schedule depending on the needs of the program
- $ 24.26 per hour
- Must be available Wednesday to Sunday (**12pm to 8pm Wednesday to Thursday, 10am to 6pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday when needed)**
- Flexibility is required based on the needs of the program
- _**This is a temporary position ending December 31, 2024**_

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 months

Pay: From $24.26 per hour
