Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties

This is a special topics course and the topic varies yearly. This term the topic is “Narrative Ethnography and Writing” and centers on ethnographic writing as ethics and a craft. It provides a step-to-step guide to producing descriptions of places, ties, selves, and others.

Lectures, seminar and discussion (three hours).

Required Qualifications: A PhD or ABD in Anthropology (or related discipline) is required or preferred with a preference towards sociocultural Anthropology.

Selection will be based on seniority, academic qualifications, teaching competence, ability to perform the various duties of the Appointment, and previous academic employment experience (these criteria are not listed in order of priority.)
