We’re looking for a Claims Assistant I - Student to join our growing team
You will be responsible for providing administrative assistance and front-line quality customer service in the settlement of insurance Claims.
**What you'll do here**:
- Prepare forms and correspondence to insurance clients, vendors and legal representatives.
- Manage file storage and retrieval process for closed files.
- Provide various administrative support such as photocopying, scanning, etc.
- Open new claims and assign appropriate claims adjusters.
- Process, coordinate, sort and distribute incoming correspondence.
- Process payments on claim files.
- Identify process improvements to management.
**What you bring to the table**:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree/college diploma including business/administration training or any combination of equivalent education and experience, or working towards completion of the same.
- Ability to consistently perform at a superior level with respect to both the accuracy and volume of work completed.
- Effective communications skills with an emphasis on customer service.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Available to work with us full-time, 35 hours per week, for Fall 2024 Term (September to December).
- Must be returning to school in Winter 2025 or Summer 2025 following your internship.
