**Your opportunity**:
The Member Service Associate role is responsible for creating and fostering a welcoming environment for Library members of all ages and providing excellent customer service. You will have the opportunity to deliver programs, host group visits, process physical materials, register new members, conduct reader advisory, engage with members through community events, and provide technology support. The successful applicant is expected to be available to work any shift during Library hours of operation and perform other duties as assigned.

**Working Conditions**:
Salary Range: $22.07 to $25.69 per hour (2020 rate)

Status: Occasional Part-Time

Work location: System-wide involving work at all branches

Schedule: Average of 32 hours bi-weekly, including evenings and weekends

Physical demands: Shelving, bending, stooping, stretching, standing, lifting, pushing/pulling book trucks and boxes of material

**Essential Qualifications**:

- A diploma in Library and Information Technician Diploma and/or a field relevant to current Library service delivery and design or an equivalent combination of education and experience to the satisfaction of the CEO.
- Minimum of two years of relevant public service experience.
- Ability to deliver group programs of all ages in-person and virtually.
- Experience with Integrated Library System (ILS), Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, electronic databases, and web-based software.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities while working collaboratively and independently in a fast-changing environment.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A satisfactory Standard Criminal Record Check (CPIC) is required prior to commencement of employment.
