We work directly with builders, code officials and fire prevention officers to develop cost-effective fire-retardant treatments that exceed fire code requirements. BarrierTek has been at the forefront of developing fire protectants for wood structures since 2010.

We're looking for an energetic and experienced Production Lead to join us in our fast-paced, team oriented work environment. The Production Lead will be scheduled **Thursday through Sunday** and must have mechanical aptitude along with valid forklift certificate and minimum 3 years experience, working with other staff members to ensure that all daily production needs are met. They will be responsible for communicating progress to supervisors and fellow employees, as well as ensuring lines are running smoothly.

**Responsibilities**:

- Understand the importance of safety and quality.
- Ensure that the workplace is clean and safe.
- Perform physical tasks, including climbing ladders, carrying materials, and standing for long periods.
- Perform mental tasks, including keeping track of inventory and supplies, calculating quantities, and ordering materials.
- Understand and follow processes to ensure quality production runs.
- Follow safety procedures for machinery usage.
- Knowledge on material handling equipment for loading and unloading trucks.
- Responsible for daily line operation, including start up and clean up.
- Inspecting work equipment to identify damages and related findings. Inform management of any safety issues or inefficacies to find resolutions and enable smooth flow of operations.
- Supervise a crew of up to four (4) warehouse personnel. Setting clear expectations for daily flow and provide feedback on efficiencies and daily tasks.
- Work with other line leads and warehouse personnel to facilitate honest communication with management. Also, to bring forth any concerns or issues.
- Support and demonstrate all company policies, procedures, and directives.
- Observe and adhere safety policies, report unsafe acts, hazards, and maintain a clean orderly warehouse.
- Responsible for inspection of QA on final produced products.
- May be responsible for other tasks and duties as they occur within the needs of the business.

Requirements - Qualities, Skills & Knowledge:

- Possess a theoretical and practical knowledge of mechanics and mechanical associations.
- Extensive forklift experience
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Strong safe work ethic and a can/do attitude
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to respond to urgent matters
- Inspection, service and maintenance of all shop equipment
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs
- A commitment to continuous improvement and job development
- Respect for people, our policies and values

**Salary**: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 44 per week
