**Position Overview**:
Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Staffing Clerk performs the staffing and scheduling functions for the organization as per the established policies and procedures.

**Experience**:

- 1 year experience in an equivalent position preferably in a health care environment.
- 1 year experience working with ESP or other computerized staffing system performing extensive staffing and scheduling functions for an organization.

**Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)**:

- Grade XII graduate, Manitoba standards.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Advanced knowledge in staffing and scheduling processes.
- Knowledge of relevant Workplace Safety and Health responsibilities.
- Ability to expertly use ESP effectively and efficiently to replace/schedule staff.
- Proficiency in obtaining staff replacement in a complex unionized environment.
- Proficiency in the basic use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and asking for guidance or direction when necessary.
- Ability to use effective English verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to select and use communication skills appropriate to the situation.
- Excellent listening and comprehension skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective professional interpersonal relations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to problem solve and using tact, objectivity and sound judgment.
- Ability to establish and maintain accurate files and records.
- Ability to prioritize work activities, working in an organized manner and utilizing time efficiently.
- Ability to use systems and equipment typical of an office environment.
