**Summary**:
The
**Policy and Compliance, HRBP** will drive measures to align business operations with all relevant legal and internal policy guidelines. The role will require collaboration with cross functional teams to proactively plan policy development and compliance, while supporting training and execution initiatives. The incumbent will develop best practices around document control and chair an internal committee to review current policies and build a cadence of updates mandated by legislation or business growth.

**A little more about the role and responsibilities**:

- Draft and revise to employee handbooks and group policies annually
- Lead policy committee to maintain inventory of existing policies
- Develop and implement an effective legal compliance program
- Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them
- Proactively audit processes, practices, and documents to identify weaknesses
- Evaluate business activities (e.g., new business and expansions) to assess compliance risk
- Collaborate with external auditors and legal partners as needed
- Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violations
- Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices
- Address employee concerns or questions on policy and legal compliance
- Keep abreast of internal standards and business goals

**What you bring to the table**:

- College or university degree, preferably specializing in Human Resources
- Previous experience in HR or Risk Management
- Sound research skills
- Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards
- Excellent communication skills
