Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Marine Dispatcher to be located in Vancouver, BC. Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, this position is responsible for dispatching barges and aggregate materials within the greater Vancouver area. The Dispatcher plays an integral role in providing superior customer service while maintaining an emphasis on product quality and costs. This position will have a tremendous impact on the day-to-day operations of our business. **What you’ll get to do**:

- Responsible for barge fleet performance and driver of optimization, quality, cost, safety and environmental targets.
- Coordinate with the aggregate sales team and ready mix dispatch with product deliveries.
- Ensures accurate KPI tracking, ticketing, invoicing, and processing of all aggregate sales & barge fleet services.
- Interacts with internal and external customers regarding required volumes, quality, and customer service related issues.

**Who we are looking for**:

- Some post-secondary education is preferred
- 3 years’ experience in either sales or dispatch is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
- Must be able to work without direct supervision
- Must have proven organizational, multi-tasking skills

**Work Environment**:

- Role operates primarily in a professional office environment, but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels
