THE ROLE

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency in inventory management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory-related issues and optimize processes.
- Implement and maintain inventory management software/systems to streamline operations and improve visibility.
- Develop and maintain inventory control procedures and process documentation
- Utilize inventory management systems and tools to monitor inventory activities, identify and address discrepancies, and conduct regular audits.
- Manage the planning, coordination and execution of physical inventory count and cycle count schedules
- Train and supervise inventory control staff, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to procedures and standards.
- Collaborate with store and distribution center management and other departments to identify areas for improvement and implement proactive solutions.
- Analyze and report on key inventory metrics, such as stock levels, turnover, shrink, inventory performance, loss prevention efforts, and recommendations for improvement to management.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance inventory control processes and drive operational excellence.

**Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed**:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain, operations or a related field or an equivalence of experience
- 3+ years experience with inventory management, preferably in a retail environment
- Proficiency in inventory management software/systems (e.g., ERP systems, inventory tracking software).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in supervising and motivating a team.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of inventory control best practices, technologies and industry trends
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs
