Waitlist Coordinator

**Job Description**:
Our standard terms and conditions of employment include a work arrangement of being in the office 5 days a week. Kinark has recently introduced a new benefit that gives employees the opportunity to work their role in a hybrid or fully remote arrangement, as assessed for their position, for those who wish to opt-in for this benefit. The role of Wait List Coordinator has been positionally assessed in the ‘Remote Worker’ classification, defined as mínimal days in the office unless business demands require.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Manage all incoming referrals
- Determine clinically appropriate service pathway based on referral information
- Maintain regular contact with waitlist clients based on their level of risk and needs
- Assist families with accessing other supports while waiting for services
- Assess risk and plan to mitigate safety concerns
- Monitor and record relevant changes to client’s circumstances and determine appropriate action
- Liaise with internal and external collaterals to prepare client file for case assignment
- Provide crisis support as needed

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or other Health-Related discipline minimum
- A Master’s Degree in Social Work is preferred; A Master’s degree in a Health-Related discipline (e.g. Occupational Therapy, Nursing) will be considered
- Must be registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) as a Social Worker, or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
- 3 years experience in a mental health setting is preferred
- Excellent clinical assessment, formulation and risk planning skills are essential
- Training and or experience in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy considered an asset
- Computer competency and comfortability with telephone communication is essential
- Experience working with diverse cultures is considered an asset for this position.

**Kinark Child and Family Services conditions of employment include but are not limited to successful Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening, completed Pre-Employment Medical certificate, and proof of full vaccination against COVID-19.** Fully vaccinated is defined as having received all required doses of a World Health Organization Approved COVID-19 Vaccine at least one of which being approved for use in Canada and 14 days have passed since your last dose. Proof of vaccination for each vaccine dose received is required.
