We are seeking a Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator
The job at a glance
- We’re looking for a Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator to help us increase the number of volunteers. You will report to our Executive Director and you will be working with a team of three people at the office in Bridgewater when you are not travelling to meetings and events. You will need a current criminal record check, a child abuse registry check and will need to provide three references. The position will start out part time with room for growth at a minimum of 10-15 hours per week commencing at $ 17.00-$20.00 per hour depending on experience. There will be a raise in pay after the six-month probationary period is successfully completed.

We are seeking a Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator to help us build a strategy to recruit more volunteers to become big brothers and big sisters. You will develop, implement and execute an outreach plan which includes social media and in-person events. As our Volunteer Coordinator you will:
- Develop and execute a long-term strategy to increase awareness of BBSSSS. This may involve participating in special events in the surrounding communities.
- Create new social media strategies to grow our online presence and be familiar with Word Press.
- Continuously monitor and manage all social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) Currently we are on facebook.
- Ensure BBBSSS is present at relevant community events to discuss potential recruitment opportunities.
- You will have minimum three years of marketing, outreach, public relations or related field.
- Experience implementing social media and web strategies or campaigns to reach specific audiences.
- Ability to build effective internal and external relationships through a collaborative working style.
- Experience with volunteer recruitment.
- Other related duties as needed.
- You will have a solid understanding or a strong desire to learn digital marketing techniques. Ability to post and edit Website and Facebook page.
- Have access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license
- Work outside customary business hours during periods leading up to and during major events, this work may include some weekends and evenings
Note:
- Mileage is paid for work related travel at.51 per km

- Do you own or have unrestricted access to a vehicle to use for work purposes?
- Are you able to begin work on, or about, the 20th of November of 2024?
- Are you able to commit to a one year term of the contract, until November 2025?
