**Work Term**: Winter 2026 (January - April)

**Eligibility**: We will only be considering applicants enrolled in an accredited Co-op or Internship program in line with their program requirements from their post-secondary academic institution.

Students will be given the opportunity to cultivate their skills and knowledge by being paired with experienced employees who will provide feedback during the work term. They will have the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and experience before choosing a career specialization.

Our program is designed to identify and develop potential full-time employees and may offer part-time opportunities in the sessions following the internship or co-op program.

Special consideration may be given to those with a proficiency in both official languages of Canada.

Students will gain exposure for development in the following areas:

- Collaborative work environments;
- Improve time and project management skills;
- Diverse work force.

Students can cultivate their skills and gain valuable experience in the following fields:
**Stream 1 - Dataset Coordinator/Data Governance**
- Conduct research and analysis on datasets received, prepare or compile documentation, and review and coordinate submissions;
- Contribute to oral and written briefings to management, internal and external stakeholders and on data governance challenges;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop templates, update standard operating procedures, and propose recommendations;
- Compile and generate usage statistics, draft reporting for review and oversight bodies.

**Stream 2 - Tactical Internet and Intelligence Centre**
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks in support of the program;
- Assist with open source and social media research projects;
- Develop a tracking system for TIIC’s inventory;
- Gain exposure to the day to day of operations of the TIIC;

**Stream 3 - Data & Information Exploitation**
- In support of Operations;
- Analyse financial data provided by financial institutions and Government partners;
- Make inferences and draw conclusions;
- Write reports and present findings;
- Analyse biometric data, geospatial data and geographic data;
- Support the production of policy documentation and standard operating procedures for the section;
- Perform the secretariat functions for working groups, including producing meeting agendas and meeting minutes, and following up on critical actions.

**Stream 4 - Information Centre**
- Create a repository of Canadian and foreign publications;
- Support the production of daily or weekly alerts;
- Perform tryouts of new databases and create user guides;
- Assist a research team in the triage and distribution of research requests;
- Take part in the review and triage of the current library collection;
- Assist with the serials’ management and the cataloguing of resources;
- Support the upgrade of our Integrated Library System

**Education**:
Registered full-time in one of the following paths **at the time of placement**:

- College Diploma (3rd year);
- Undergraduate degree program (3rd year upwards);
- Graduate level program.

Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited Co-op or Internship program in line with their program requirements from their post-secondary academic institution.

Applicants must be registered as a full-time, post-secondary student in an accredited academic institution recognized in Canada during their work term.

**Experience**:
Experience may have been acquired through formal and informal settings (e.g. school, volunteer, work experience or projects).
